The Purification Process Development group develops manufacturing processes for purification of therapeutic proteins (e.g., antibodies, enzymes, and multi-specifics) from cell culture harvest and provides technical support to GMP downstream process operations. Requirements

Currently enrolled and pursuing a bachelor's, master's, or Ph.D. degree in biology, chemistry, chemical or biochemical engineering, biotech, or a related field at an accredited college or university with the expectation that you will complete your current degree by the Spring of 202 8
Must be able to relocate to the office location and work 40hrs/week, Monday-Friday, for the full duration of the co-op/internship
Must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually require future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship

Responsibilities

Conducting experiments using small-scale chromatography columns and filtration units and/or high-throughput technologies to develop, characterize, and optimize new processes
The student may also contribute to technology development projects focused on next-generation bioprocessing and process development technologies, such as integrated and continuous bioprocessing, high-throughput process development, and mechanistic modeling of bioprocesses
On-the-job training will be provided as necessary to teach the technical skills required to perform their duties

The salary range for this position is $29-$57 hourly.
All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience.
