At the Y, we believe that training is an essential component of running a safe and engaging youth development program. All required training is paid. Requirements
- AGE: Eighteen years or older
- EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred
- RELATED EXPERIENCE: Experience working with school-age campers in a camp setting, preferred
- SPECIALIZED SKILLS: Strong character values, communication skills, emotional maturity
- QUALIFICATIONS: Current First Aid, Adult, Infant and Child CPR Certifications from a qualified provider prior to camp start. YMCA will provide these courses during training.
- American Red Cross Water Safety certification, preferred. YMCA will provide these courses during training.
- TB Test and health screen may be required based on school requirements.
- Attend 100% of the mandatory pre-season training.
- You must have the physical, visual, and auditory ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Ability to plan, lead, and participate in activities.
- Ability to lift 30-35lbs
