About The Position

Summer@Country School offers a safe, self-contained environment perfect for participants to freely explore and enjoy their favorite activities with friends old and new. We offer a range of traditional and new activities that make each summer unique, including art, STEM and athletics, 85 acres of outdoor and woodland adventure, and weekly specials. Through hands-on experiences and a combination of guided and independent experiences, campers are encouraged to try new things, explore, accept challenges, and most of all have fun. Specialists are responsible for designing and implementing engaging activities for participants ages 3 through 10 in their own areas of interest and/or expertise. Summer@Country School is looking for qualified candidates who would like to bring their passion and skills to our summer program. Candidates should have experience, excitement and joy in working with children! Specialist responsibilities also include ensuring the safety of participants and creating a fun and inclusive community. Summer@Country School is looking for qualified candidates to lead programs in areas such as Art, STEM/Nature, Sports, Movement and our Counselor in Training program (rising grades 7-9). This program runs 9 am - 4 pm Monday through Friday from June 15 to August 21, 2026. The projected number of hours per week is 40.   • Has experience with conflict resolution and group management
  • Has the ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Has strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute projects and activities that they are passionate about in their specialty area
  • Curate lesson plans and supply lists prior to each week of programming
  • Organize and supervise children within activities and general program areas
  • Create opportunities for and partner with the counselors-in-training program
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety in all activities for children and staff
  • Be a role model to children and staff in your attitude and behavior
  • Attend all staff meetings and trainings
  • Represent the program when interacting with parents or community members
