About The Position

A four-week position supervising and mentoring high school students, plus three in-service/training days. Working days will be as follows:

Training (June 9-10): Full-day training at Ripon College (overnight accommodations provided)
(June 15-18, June 22-25 & July 6-9 July 13-17): Staff will live on campus at Ripon College and supervise students
(June 29-July 2): Staff will be either at Ripon College or Wisconsin Dells
(July 20-22): Trip to various locations and campuses in WI, MN and IA. Staff will stay overnight in hotels on the route and supervise students during the trip

Requirements

• As of June 2025, must be at least sophomore status with at least one year of experience at a postsecondary education institution with a GPA of at least 2.75
• Have a high level of maturity, adaptability, ability to work on a team, self-disciplined
• Have familiarity with and sensitivity to the needs of adolescents
• Have strong leadership skills, highly accountable, and be reliable
• Can work with minimal supervision
• Hold a valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Supervise, guide, tutor, and mentor students
• Supervise recreation, program activities and meals
• Rotating night supervision
• Assist in the development and implementation of activities in the residence unit
• Chaperone one-day and multi-day field trips
• Prepare reports on academics, student behavior, meals, and accidents
• Participate in training and other staff meetings
