About The Position

Make a difference every day by joining CCRES as a Summer Counselor through our partnership with Aaron's Acres! LOCATION: New Holland Park: 400 E. Jackson Street, New Holland, 17557 CAMP DATES: Session 1: June 15 - June 26 Session 2: July 6 - July 17 Session 3: July 20 - July 31 Ability to work all 3 summer sessions (6 weeks total) OR will consider candidates who can work 1 or 2 sessions (2 weeks per session) CAMP SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday with half AND full day options: 8:00am-1:00pm (half day) or 8:00-4:30pm (full day) The hourly summer Counselor pay rate for new staff is $14.00/hour and $15.00/hour for returning staff. BONUS INCENTIVES: Provided Summer Counselors have completed their contracted summer employment, qualifying incentive(s) will be paid on or before September 1st. $250 for returning staff $650 all day, two sessions $1000 all day, three sessions Staff Orientation is MANDATORY. You MUST be able to attend the Orientation meeting and all dates of program session. Please review the program dates and Staff Orientation dates before applying. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance
  • PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance
  • PA Department of Human Services FBI
  • Education Documentation - Diploma OR Official Transcripts

Nice To Haves

  • Undergraduate students studying social work, special education, music therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, psychology or other related field - preferred
  • Prior experience working with school-aged children in a licensed, certified, or registered provider setting - preferred

Responsibilities

  • Inspire and motivate each child to engage fully in a variety of activities within the program, while promoting their independence.
  • Ensure the safety of all children in the group by maintaining constant supervision.
  • Collaborate with fellow team members to contribute to the planning of summer programs.
  • Provide constructive feedback to the group leader to help assess and achieve the goals and outcomes for the children during program sessions.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures outlined by the Aaron’s Acres administrative team, including safety protocols for participants, volunteers, and staff.
  • Participate in all mandatory staff meetings.
