Summer Conference Coordinators (SCC) are responsible for preparing residence halls for incoming conferences, conducting room and building inspections before and after each camp, and managing guest check-in and check-out processes. They serve as a primary point of contact for campers, requiring a professional demeanor, and are responsible for providing clear and accurate information for conference billing. SCCs work under the direct supervision of the Summer Conference Admin and Staffing Coordinator, and collaborate with the Summer Conference Operations Coordinator as needed. Specific duties include staying on campus in the assigned hall when on duty, operating the hall desk alone or as part of a team, and assisting with administrative tasks related to conference arrivals. During conferences, they greet guests, handle check-ins/check-outs, maintain hall security, and provide information and other services. Additional responsibilities involve creating informational signs, managing key and CBORD card inventory, assisting with minor cleaning and repairs, reporting maintenance or vending issues, submitting work orders, and participating in a 24-hour on-call rotation. The role may require working late evenings, early mornings, long hours, and weekends due to the nature of summer conferences, with schedules varying weekly and established one week in advance.
