PRIMARY PURPOSE/GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Summer Conference Assistant will assist the Events department and clients with various summer events. The position is scheduled to begin on or around May 20, 2026 and end on or before August 8, 2026. DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: This information is intended to be a descriptive of the key responsibilities of the position. Provide assistance for all aspects of conferences and events as assigned. Responsible for opening and closing event spaces. Assist Events department with delivering an exceptional guest experience. Coordinate registration and set-up and takedown of the event site. Interface with each client in a professional and competent manner. Perform other essential duties and tasks specific to the position as assigned. Active support for the College’s Principles of Community and Institutional Values in the performance of job duties. QUALIFICATION STANDARDS: EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Previous experience in event or conference planning is preferred. LICENSES / CERTIFICATES: None. OTHER: HOURS & CLASSIFICATION AND STATUS: This is a temporary status, full-time, non-exempt, non-benefits eligible position. Hours will vary based on department needs. This position is scheduled to begin on or around May 20, 2026 and end on or before August 8, 2026. Hourly pay rate: $16.90. The hourly rate of the individual selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: None.
