About The Position

Summary of Functions Directly maintains presentation, quantity, and freshness of food. Provide superior quality, preparation, presentation, of food and guest service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Answers questions of customers with information regarding the items being served. Affixes food item tags to help identify said items Assists Cook II ensuring quality, and menu specifications through use of standard operating procedures. Continually review kitchen operations for improvements Follows food safety, sanitation set forth by the FDA, and ensure HACCP compliance. Ensure control/protection of company assets. Stores food safely in designated areas Pans, portions, garnishes, sauces food products Provide attentive friendly service Cuts, plates and stocks desserts Set up, and breakdown of entire buffet Communication with cooks relaying food usage and quality control Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment and utensils, segregates and removes garbage. Distributes supplies and utensils May be required to be a panelist for the Internal Review Board Process. Ensures compliance with the Kalispel Tribe of Indians-State of Washington Gaming Compact, Internal Controls, NIGC Regulations and Northern Quest Policies and Procedures. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

  • One year of food service experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft programs and other computer software.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts related to food.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all levels of the organization and the public.
  • Skill in effectively, communicating information through verbal and written correspondence.
  • Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Tribal Work Permit.
  • Washington State Food Handler Permit within 14 days of start date.
  • Hepatitis A vaccination.
  • Available and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
