OMB's ACS unit is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented intern to assist with the analysis of budget and funding trends for ACS-run crucial services to children and families in New York City. This includes services related to foster care, adoption, community-based prevention programs for at-risk youth, and detention/detention alternatives for youth involved in the juvenile justice system. As an intern, you will play a vital role in helping us review and assess historical trends in ACS's and NYC's broader financial landscape. Your work will involve tracking how budget allocations, funding, and policy changes impact ACS programs over time. Specifically, you will: - Analyze ACS’s budget and funding data: Review budget allocations and identify trends in funding and resource utilization. - Evaluate external factors: Assess how changes in legislation, demand for services, and the outlook of the NYC budget influence service funding and program size. - Prepare reports and presentations: Produce data-driven summaries that illustrate the relationship between funding adjustments and service outcomes. - Support recommendations: Help identify areas for improvement in funding strategy and assist in developing actionable recommendations to ensure the financial sustainability of services
