Summer Camp Counselor - Vermilion
About The Position
We are looking for fun and creative Seasonal Camp Counselors! Do you love spending time with children of all ages? Was your time at summer camp a cherished memory? Would you like to share your experiences and knowledge to make a real difference in the lives of those around you? As a YMCA Summer Camp Counselor you are responsible for the successful implementation and delivery of our camp activities. This is a seasonal position that starts at the end of May and runs through mid-August. Invitations to participate in the preliminary on-line video interview will be sent by email.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- At least 18 years of age.
- 1-year experience working with children in a day camp setting preferred.
- Experience with outdoor recreation, songs/music, skits, sports, aquatics, games, etc.
- Ability to work effectively work with people of different backgrounds, abilities, opinions and perceptions.
- We conduct a comprehensive background check for all employees who work with children and youth.
Nice To Haves
- 1-year experience working with children in a day camp setting preferred.
