About The Position

We are looking for individuals who thrive in a high-energy, outdoor environment, love making kids smile, and prioritize fun and safety. This seasonal role involves leading campers through diverse daily rotations, running high-energy morning orientations, and ensuring the camp remains buzzing with activity. The position requires active supervision of groups, enforcing safety rules, and serving as a positive role model for campers navigating winning, losing, and teamwork.

Requirements

  • At least 3 months (460 hours) of verifiable, satisfactory experience working with school-age children.
  • Ability to pass FBI/CBI and TRAILS abuse and neglect background checks.
  • Must complete 15 hours of online PDIS training before on-site training begins on May 18th.
  • Must obtain First Aid/CPR certification on your own before the start of camp as a condition of employment.
  • Endurance to maintain constant supervision of campers, including prolonged standing, bending, walking long distances, and stretching.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and a willingness to work in an outdoor camp setting with daily exposure to the sun and heat.
  • Visual and auditory ability to identify and respond to environmental and other hazards related to camp activities.
  • Physical ability to respond appropriately to situations requiring first aid. Must be able to assist campers in an emergency (fire, evacuation, illness, or injury).
  • Strength and endurance required to maintain constant supervision of campers, including prolonged standing, some bending, stooping, walking long distances, and stretching.
  • Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to manipulate outdoor equipment and camp activities.
  • Normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate camper activities and programs.
