Summer Camp Assistant
About The Position
Saint Joe’s is excited to offer a meaningful and memorable Summer Camp designed for individuals with developmental disabilities. We’re looking for enthusiastic high school students who want to make a difference while gaining hands‑on experience in a fun, supportive environment. Our camp is organized into three two‑week sessions , each filled with engaging, inclusive activities such as: Recreation & Leisure: Creative, social, and relaxing activities that spark joy and connection Educational Field Trips: Adventures to museums, the zoo, and other local attractions Therapeutic Swimming: Adaptive sessions in a therapeutic pool Library Story Time: Interactive storytelling with the Cincinnati Public Library Hikes with Luke5Adventures: Guided, accessible hikes supported by adaptive equipment
Requirements
- Age: 16–18 (current high school students)
- Genuine interest in working with individuals with disabilities
- Positive, enthusiastic attitude
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Support and help facilitate daily camp activities
- Assist with field trips and ensure participant safety
- Work closely with the Summer Camp Manager and team
- Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and fun environment
- Provide general support to campers as needed
