About The Position

Under direct supervision, provides guidance, supervision and leadership to children participating in the Muckleshoot Summer Camp Program. MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES This list is intended only to illustrate the various types of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or is a logical assignment to the position. Lead children from grades 1 through 12 or 18 years old in indoor and outdoor activities. Expected to participate in daily group activities. Support youth and staff during offsite field trips. Assist staff and youth with meal preparation and distribution Provide leadership and guidance for children, ensuring their safety in all camp activities. Communicate with parents/guardians regarding the respective child’s camp activities. Complete attendance and all other reports as required by the camp supervisor or camp coordinator. Participate in any pre-camp staff training. May also serve as bus aides. Because of the Tribe’s commitment to community service and the well-being of its members, each employee may be expected to perform a wide range of office and field duties from time to time. Such duties may or may not be related to their regular responsibilities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of: Understanding “No Touch Supervision”.
  • Ability to: Work well with children.
  • A valid Washington State driver’s license is required at time of appointment or at a time set by the Tribe.

Nice To Haves

  • Food Handler’s card (may be obtained after employment).
