This role supports the Labor Relations team in analyzing workforce trends, interpreting collective bargaining agreements, and ensuring compliance with labor policies. You will leverage your Business Information Systems & Analytics background to: Collect and analyze workforce data to identify patterns in scheduling, overtime, and labor costs. Develop dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights for negotiations and policy decisions. Assist in maintaining labor contract databases, ensuring accurate and timely updates. Support compliance audits by validating data integrity and preparing summaries for leadership. Collaborate with HR, operations, and legal teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency through technology solutions. This internship offers exposure to real-world labor relations challenges while applying analytical skills to optimize workforce strategies. You will learn how data influences negotiations, employee relations, and organizational decision-making.Program Summary: As a highly motivated undergraduate student, you will participate in a 10 to 12 week summer internship program at one of our Geismar sites. You'll engage in a dynamic environment where you'll tackle diverse challenges, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and adapt to rapidly changing situations. This role offers the opportunity to innovate and problem-solve in real-time, making every day an exciting and unique experience. Utilizing your experience in your area of study, you will help complete various projects which will provide the opportunity to further develop both technical and professional skills. Upon completion of the internship program, you will have the opportunity to present your summer project to other interns, BASF employees, and senior leaders.
