The Summer Associate will operate post-production equipment like laminators, cutters, plotters, and trimming tools. They will review prints and decals for accuracy, prepare orders, maintain organized workstations, track production progress, package finished products, assist with inventory, support basic machine maintenance, and follow safety guidelines. The role also involves supporting print operators in preparing, organizing, and managing print jobs.

Requirements

  • Strong work ethic and sense of urgency to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Comfortable performing hands-on tasks such as laminating, cutting, and preparing decals or kits for shipment.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with a focus on accuracy in handling materials and graphics kits.
  • Must pass a physical, drug test, and criminal background check prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge in Print RIP software is desired but not necessary
  • Basic Illustrator skills are desired but not necessary
  • Large format print operation is desired but not necessary
  • Large format lamination/application machine is desired but not necessary

Responsibilities

  • Operate post-production equipment such as laminators, cutters, plotters, and trimming tools.
  • Review completed prints and decals for accuracy, color quality, and consistency prior to packaging.
  • Prepare orders by organizing materials, applying transfer tape, labeling items, and assembling decal kits.
  • Maintain organized workstations, ensuring tools, vinyl rolls, and supplies are properly stored and accessible.
  • Track production progress and communicate job status updates to production leads or supervisors.
  • Package finished decals and products securely for delivery or shipping.
  • Assist with inventory counts of vinyl, tools, masking tape, substrates, and other production supplies.
  • Support basic machine maintenance tasks such as cleaning equipment and replacing blades or materials.
  • Follow shop safety guidelines and maintain a clean, efficient, and safe workspace.
  • Support print operators as needed (Assist the print production team in preparing, organizing, and managing print jobs from start to finish).
