Summer Associate - Customer Service (Bala Cynwyd, PA)
About The Position
Philadelphia Insurance Companies, a member of the Tokio Marine Group, designs, markets and underwrites commercial property/casualty and professional liability insurance products for select industries. We have been in operation since 1962 and are nationally recognized as a member of Ward's Top 50 and rated A++ by A.M.Best. The Summer Associates Program is PHLYs exclusive internship experience. It will require students to think critically about the daily responsibilities of an insurance professional. You will learn the ins and outs of the internal systems and work alongside professionals to complete team and company objectives. You will learn the impact of your department on the overall company and its success. This role will be responsible for assisting with daily tasks and projects in support the PHLY Customer Service Commissions team. The Commissions team prepares and processes commission payments to internal and external producers while providing an exceptional customer experience. This will include evaluating and analyzing agent information data for accuracy and completeness.
Requirements
- Rising Junior or Senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree
- Involvement in community and extracurricular activities is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

Responsibilities
- Support of one major project over the 10 weeks directly correlated to the Customer Service department.
- Support the team in preparing and processing commission payments to internal and external producers
- Supporting the team with daily operating functions.
