Our members love being a part of this exceptional community, and our employees make the Yellowstone Club experience come alive.  If you would love being a part of the Montana charm and providing the highest level of guest service, ensuring no detail is too small to overlook, then Yellowstone Club is looking for you.   Yellowstone Club’s Outdoor Pursuits department is currently seeking candidates for our Summer Guide Internship for Summer 2026. Our summer employment dates for this position are June-August.   The purpose of the Outdoor Pursuits Internship is to provide in-the-field work experience to current University students looking to gain experience in the outdoor industry. Throughout the summer season, they will gain valuable hands-on experience and develop a deeper understanding of our guide program and our daily operations within the department that will prepare them for a career in a related field.    A candidate should possess a deep passion for the outdoors, excellent communication skills and strong leadership abilities. Additionally, adaptability, patience, and a customer-focused mindset are key attributes for a successful guide. Our Outdoor Pursuits guide program offers a variety of amenities such as: mountain biking, hiking, high ropes adventure course, 3D archery course, rock climbing, five stand sporting clays, archery tag and UTV tours.   Interviews will be conducted later in March. We appreciate your patience as we are still in full swing of winter operations on the mountain.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or vocational training or job-related course work
  • Creditable experience in teaching and/or outdoor guiding
  • Valid certification in CPR and First Aid
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Driving record that meets company driving insurance requirements
  • Ability to work collaboratively and individually

Responsibilities

  • Lead members and guests on hikes and UTV tours. Facilitate and coach 3D archery, archery tag along with our aerial adventure course.  Opportunities may arise to lead mountain biking and climbing based on guide skill level.
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established Club policies, procedures, and standards of service to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
  • Daily set up and take down for all activities. This includes maintenance, cleaning, and organizing of equipment and workspace.
  • Promotes and adheres to safety standards.
  • Operate company vehicles when necessary, including UTVs.
  • Facilitate and ensure the safe operation of the aerial adventure course. This includes working at heights daily.
  • Provide excellent customer service in a diverse work environment.
  • Maintain a favorable working relationship with all company employees to foster and promote a positive working environment.
  • Always maintain a clean and neat professional appearance.
  • Must be able to work a flexible work schedule including weekends and holidays.  Long hours may be required due to business demands.
