Job Description: Baker Tilly is currently seeking IT Assurance Interns for 2026. IT Assurance Interns participate in pre-audit planning for engagements, conduct interviews and review documentation of client IT and operating procedures, perform internal control and IT test work, and prepare supporting work paper documentation. In addition to the CPA, these team members may be asked to work toward the CIA, CMA and CISA.

Requirements

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis upon hire. Baker Tilly will not consider candidates for this position who require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future (e.g., H-1B, STEM OPT).
  • Must have completed or be enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program, with a preference for accounting majors
  • Must reside within a commutable distance to a Baker Tilly office and be willing to work on-site
  • Eligible candidates must have academic courses remaining at the end of the internship; ideally, in the third year of a 4-year program, or fourth year of a 5-year program
  • Must have a current, accepted offer with Baker Tilly (formerly Moss Adams)

Nice To Haves

  • Major in Accounting or coursework in technology-related fields highly desirable
  • If an accounting major, meeting the educational requirements to obtain CPA license upon full-time Staff hire, preferred
  • Willingness to travel to client locations, including overnight stays, with travel expectations varying by department and office location
  • Flexibility to work overtime or additional hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
  • Excellent customer service skills; Ability to understand own and others' emotions to achieve desired goals
  • Creative problem solving, critical thinking and research skills; Organize information and exercise well-reasoned judgment
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; Demonstrate confidence in decision making and poise in professional setting
