Sauder Woodworking Company’s Summer Internship Program is designed to provide meaningful, hands‑on experience while building a strong talent pipeline for future career opportunities. Interns work on real projects, collaborate with experienced mentors, and gain exposure to a professional manufacturing and corporate environment. Our goal is to create a mutually beneficial experience—interns gain valuable learning and resume‑building work, while our teams benefit from fresh perspectives and support on meaningful projects. Program Overview Paid internship experience Up to 40 hours per week (part-time and full-time opportunities available) Typical timeframe: May–August Project-based work with real business impact Mentorship from experienced Sauder team members Networking opportunities with leaders and fellow interns End-of-summer Intern Showcase Potential Internship Areas Internship opportunities may be available in the following areas (based on business needs): Finance Manufacturing Engineering Sales Human Resources Testing Lab Purchasing/Supply Chain What You’ll Do While responsibilities vary by role, interns can expect to: Complete a meaningful project that supports business objectives Work alongside a mentor or supervisor who provides guidance and feedback Collaborate with cross‑functional teams Participate in HR‑led intern events and networking activities Build professional skills in communication, problem‑solving, and teamwork General Qualifications Actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program Strong academic performance and interest in field of study Ability to work independently and collaboratively Strong communication and organizational skills Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship Full-time employees are not eligible Why Sauder?
