Summer 2026 Internship – Sustainability Strategy (Vistra Corporation)
About The Position
We are seeking a Summer 2026 Intern to join our Sustainability Strategy team with a focus on identifying new ways to tell Vistra’s sustainability story, streamline data collection, and strengthen our sustainability efforts. This role is ideal for students pursuing sustainability/engineering related disciplines who want to apply their academic knowledge to real-world challenges for sustainability in the energy sector. Interns will gain exposure internal and external sustainability reporting efforts, support GHG protocol accounting efforts, work with enterprise level sustainability SaaS platform, improve sustainability metric monitoring, and support various sustainability initiatives.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sustainability, Engineering, Environmental Science, or Public Policy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with interest in data-driven decision-making.
- Proficiency in Excel and data analysis
- Familiarity with GHG protocol, voluntary sustainability frameworks, and evolving environmental topics
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting technical concepts clearly.
