LPL’s Strategy & Growth Intern Program offers a 10-week paid summer experience designed to accelerate your development and provide exposure to real-world strategy work. Throughout the program, you’ll collaborate with senior leaders, contribute to high-impact projects, and gain firsthand insight into how data, strategy, and execution come together to drive business success. You’ll engage in enterprise strategy, business operations, and executive-level decision-making, while developing hands-on experience in data analysis, strategic storytelling, and stakeholder engagement. The program fosters a collaborative environment where your ideas and contributions are valued, and you’ll have opportunities to network with professionals across the organization and build meaningful relationships. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Management, or a related field
  • Minimum 3.3 GPA
  • Strong interest in the financial services industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • The ideal candidate should be local to the San Diego or Fort Mill office during the time of the internship and will work on a hybrid schedule. (3 days in the office)
  • Offer contingent on successful background screening
  • Ability to analyze and organize data to uncover insights and trends
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear and confident written and verbal communication
  • Skilled in building presentation materials that tell a compelling story
  • Full-time position for 10 weeks in the summer of 2026; Monday through Friday, working 40 hours a week during business operating hours
  • Dependent on team needs, work locations could be remote, hybrid or in office (San Diego, CA and Fort Mill, SC office)
  • Interns should plan to participate for the entire program.
  • Program dates: June 1, 2026-August 7, 2026
  • At this time, for our early career program positions, we’re unable to consider candidates who require sponsorship now or in the future.
  • You will be responsible for obtaining and providing to LPL the required I-9 documentation as part of our onboarding process.
  • Positions offered are for full-time work at 40 hours per week.
  • Please consult your Designated School Official to confirm your eligibility with your school ability prior to applying.

Responsibilities

  • Support strategic initiatives by analyzing data, identifying trends, and surfacing insights
  • Track key metrics and business performance indicators to inform decision-making
  • Build executive-level presentations that translate complex data into clear, compelling stories
  • Assist with business management tasks including meeting prep, project tracking, and reporting
  • Collaborate across teams to support communications, process improvements, and operational planning
