About The Position

As we help clear the path to a greener future, we need to ensure our people continue to power our progress. The world of energy is changing faster than ever! Our Gridtern Program provides current college students the ability to gain practical experience within the energy industry. Your summer will begin on Monday, June 15, 2026, and will be filled with meaningful work experiences, professional development, networking opportunities, community involvement, and most importantly, have fun!   Our Social Impact team advances our organizations community engagement and investment efforts through a focused strategy centered on energy affordability, jobs and skills, and community resilience. This team partners with nonprofit organizations, community leaders, and internal stakeholders to design and fund initiatives that support households in need, build pathways to quality jobs, and strengthen communities facing social and economic challenges. Through strategic grantmaking, volunteerism, and cross‑sector collaboration, this team aligns resources with priority outcomes across these pillars. Impact is measured and reported consistently to ensure accountability and long‑term value for the communities we serve.   As a Gridtern, you will support the team’s work across energy affordability, jobs, skills, and community resilience by assisting with research, program coordination, and partner engagement. You will also help track grants, events, and volunteer activities, and will support impact measurement through data collection, storytelling, and reporting. As you collaborate with team members on community initiatives, presentations, and internal communications, you will be provided with hands‑on exposure on how corporate social impact strategies are developed, implemented, and evaluated.
