Summer 2026 Intern – Production Operations
About The Position
Tennis Channel is offering an unpaid summer internship for students centered on production operations. This role offers a hands-on, educational experience in planning, scheduling, and coordinating production activities across studio and remote broadcasts. The internship is designed to provide real-world exposure to live sports production workflows while earning academic credit. Key Learning Outcomes Understanding of production operations in live sports media Experience with scheduling, logistics, and broadcast planning Exposure to crew coordination and production systems Insight into standard operating procedures (SOPs) in a broadcast environment Development of organizational and communication skills Learning Opportunities Providing support with Lasso crew and event scheduling software, including SOP-related tasks Assisting in developing and maintaining Production Operations SOP documentation Supporting PBTV production planning and logistics Assisting with production planning and scheduling for studio and remote broadcasts Supporting remote production logistics and coordination efforts
Requirements
- Current college student eligible for academic credit
- Interest in broadcast production, sports media, or operations
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Currently a junior or senior enrolled in an accredited college or university
- At least 18 years of age
- Available to be fully on site in our Santa Monica office
- Able to commit to a minimum of 15–20 hours per week and 2 days per week
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with production tools or scheduling systems is a plus
Responsibilities
- Providing support with Lasso crew and event scheduling software, including SOP-related tasks
- Assisting in developing and maintaining Production Operations SOP documentation
- Supporting PBTV production planning and logistics
- Assisting with production planning and scheduling for studio and remote broadcasts
- Supporting remote production logistics and coordination efforts
