Our paid summer internship program offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience while supporting a powerful mission: Finding cures. Saving children. What You'll Experience: Over 10 weeks, you'll be immersed in ALSAC's culture and work alongside passionate professionals. Here's what you can expect: Meaningful Projects that make a real impact Mentorship & Collaboration with teammates and leaders across departments Exclusive Chats with ALSAC's Executive Leadership Team Intern Project where you'll learn design thinking, collaborate with interns, and present to ALSAC's Executive Leadership Team Named one of the Top 100 Internship Programs in the U.S. by WayUp and Yello, this program is designed to be impactful, collaborative, and inspiring. Internship Focus: The intern will play a pivotal role in advancing St. Jude's national fundraising strategy by supporting both DIY and Heroes programs. This position blends research, creative development, and resource design to expand engagement with younger audiences, empower participants, and drive innovation in fundraising. The intern will: Conduct competitive landscape analysis of major nonprofit fundraising strategies to identify best practices and opportunities for St. Jude. Analyze 3-5 years of fundraising data (DIY and Heroes) to uncover trends, audience behaviors, and campaign performance, synthesizing insights to inform future planning. Map and prototype a refreshed onboarding experience for fundraisers, improving retention and early engagement. Curate a categorized Fundraising Idea Bank (e.g., themed runs, social media challenges, workplace giving). Develop tailored toolkits for diverse audiences: first-time and returning participants, team captains, and youth fundraisers. Draft platform how-to guides, checklists, and digital toolkits (with messaging templates, visual assets, and engagement tips) tailored to Gen Z and other key segments. Collect and format peer examples of successful campaigns to inspire others. Conduct research and propose strategies for program expansion (e.g., Saddle Up, digital engagement). Present findings and recommendations to leadership, with the potential for pilot project implementation.

Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited college/university or May 2026 graduate
  • Passionate about our mission
