About The Position

Western Digital is seeking highly motivated undergraduate and MBA students to join our Finance & Accounting teams for a hands-on internship experience during Summer 2026. Interns will have the opportunity to contribute to impactful projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and gain exposure to key areas of corporate finance. This internship is designed to provide real-world experience and professional development in a dynamic, innovative environment. Whether you're pursuing your bachelor's or MBA, you'll be part of a team that powers global innovation through data. These roles will be based in our offices in San Jose and Irvine, CA. Candidates who will not require relocation to the San Jose or Irvine areas will be prioritized in the process. Finance internships at Western Digital are primarily in-person, up to 3 days per week. These positions are full-time (40 hours/week) and paid hourly. The hourly pay for this position will range between $25-43/hour based on year in school and other factors. Work time outside of normal business hours (9am-5pm PDT) may be requested as a part of your internship. Internship Areas Interns may be placed in one of the following functional areas: Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Tax Internal Audit Business Unit Finance Treasury Technical Accounting SEC Reporting Revenue Accounting This position is part of our Early Career program at WD. Requirements

  • Current student pursuing a Bachelor’s or MBA degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • Expected graduation date of December 2026 or later.
  • Right to work in the U.S. without requiring Western Digital to sponsor an immigration case (e.g., H-1B).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create effective presentations.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in large, cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; Excel proficiency is especially important.

Nice To Haves

  • 3–5 years of prior corporate work experience.
  • Undergraduate degree in Finance or a related field.
  • Experience presenting to senior management.
  • Familiarity with financial tools such as PowerBI or Tableau is a plus.
