Our paid summer internship program offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience while supporting a powerful mission: Finding cures. Saving children. What You'll Experience: Over 10 weeks, you'll be immersed in ALSAC's culture and work alongside passionate professionals. Internship Details: Dates: June 1 - August 7, 2026 Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week (Monday-Friday) Pay: $14/hour Location: Hybrid - 1350 Concourse Avenue, Suite 563, Memphis, TN Application Process: After you submit your application and if eligible, you will be sent an email to complete a virtual video interview from HireVue. Internship Focus: The Delta Area creates and executes best-in-class fundraising and awareness events to acquire and cultivate donors in W. Tennessee, Mississippi and Arkansas. The Delta Area team focuses on funding the mission of St. Jude through Dinners, Galas & Golf tournaments, St. Jude Dream Home Giveaways, youth and collegiate programs as well as fitness and endurance events like the St. Jude Walk and St. Jude Memphis Marathon weekend. This role will give the ideal candidate first-hand experiences that aid in the development of core fundraising and non-profit development skills.

Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited college/university or May 2026 graduate
  • Passionate about our mission
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and execution of communication strategies to activate participants and fundraisers
  • Create promotional materials
  • Reimagine and assist with social media strategies to promote events
  • Assist with recommitting teams
  • Assist with research and confirmation of teams from local groups and organizations
  • Engage with key team leaders to maximize support for fundraising initiatives
  • Learn and execute best practices for fundraising dinners, galas and golf tournaments
  • Support core event planning work and event logistics
  • Work in collaboration with a team to manage best-in-class fundraisers that engage and activate donor support
  • Develop and execute a plan to recruit volunteers for support of Area events
  • Build a year round stewardship calendar for the Delta Area cadre of volunteers that provides acknowledgement and appreciation for their efforts.
