You will assist our multi-disciplined project team(s) with assigned tasks and will have many opportunities to grow and develop, both professionally and personally, throughout the Summer. You will participate in training programs and receive training in company management tools, standards, policies & procedures, during the assignment. Additionally, there are fantastic opportunities to network with other interns across the enterprise during scheduled workshops, events and group projects focused on our culture and values. The Enterprise Portfolio Management (EPM) Intern will be responsible for managing small projects, executing basic project related tasks, and supporting ongoing process improvement. This position will work with the necessary parties to gather and document findings; execute testing; and create and update reference materials.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a professional degree from an accredited college or university
  • Excellent analysis, problem-solving, collaboration, conflict management, and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, primarily OneNote, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to create structure and organize work into a logical and intuitive manner.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with the business to understand and capture project needs, existing application utilization, and/or current state process.
  • Participate and support testing by executing test cases, capturing of defects, supporting IT troubleshooting efforts, and retesting through resolution.
  • Learn how to manage a project from start to finish using EPM tools, templates, and processes.
  • Capture meeting notes and follow-up items and communicate accordingly to project team members.
  • Create, update, or participate in the development of materials including policies and procedures; operational and business processes; training materials, end user guides, and communications.
  • Foster relationships with other team members and gain an understanding of how EPM supports the organization.
  • Provide suggestions for EPM process improvement and identify learnings for future assignments.
