Our 60-bed medically monitored program supports people through a vulnerable 4–10 day stay, offering stabilization, safety, and a chance to reset. As a SUDs Counselor, you become the steady guide in that moment… assessing needs, building motivation, and connecting each person to the right next step in their treatment journey. What You’ll Do Lead ASAM assessments that shape each person’s care plan. Use motivational interviewing to spark readiness and build trust. Work side-by-side with clinical staff, nursing, and subacute techs to align on goals. Coordinate referrals to treatment programs and community supports so patients leave with a clear path forward. Facilitate groups, participate in clinical meetings, and support direct patient care. Keep documentation sharp and timely to ensure continuity and quality. Strengthen relationships with community partners and streamline access to services. What You Bring Strong counseling skills with individuals and groups. Comfort working with adults experiencing homelessness, withdrawal, instability, and high acuity. Experience in motivational interviewing and promoting change talk. Knowledge of SUDs, co-occurring disorders, crisis intervention, and stages of change. An ability to communicate clearly with clients and multidisciplinary partners.
