About The Position

The Substance Use Program Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and administration of Lumera Healthcare’s Substance Use Disorder (SUD) programs at assigned locations, including Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) and Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT). The Director provides program leadership, clinical oversight within the scope of their licensure, ensures compliance with regulations, and supports high-quality, client-centered treatment. The Program Lead collaborates with the Special Projects Coordinators to improve processes and contribute to initiatives where their SUD expertise is an asset. This position requires availability for a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Counseling, Addiction Studies, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
  • Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) in good standing.
  • Minimum 4years of experience in SUD treatment, including at least 4,000 hours of direct practice.
  • Completion of at least 80 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) related to SUD within the last four years.
  • Knowledge of substance use disorders, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based treatment models.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Commitment to professional ethics and adherence to the limits of clinical licensure.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and coordinate daily operations of the designated SUD Program, including IOP and MRT groups.
  • Supervise program staff and support professional development.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Director and other licensed professionals on clinical matters outside LADC scope.
  • Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations, licensure requirements, and agency policies.
  • Work with the Special Projects Coordinator team and SUD Director team to improve processes and support program initiatives.
  • Provide clinical oversight consistent with LADC licensure.
  • Facilitate individual and group counseling using approved evidence-based practices.
  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and coordinate client care within licensure limits.
  • Refer clinical matters outside LADC scope to appropriately credentialed professionals.
  • Perform additional job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned
  • Maintain program tracking forms and documentation.
  • Review clinical documentation for accuracy and compliance, consulting independently licensed clinicians as needed.
  • Participate in audits and implement corrective actions according to policy and licensing standards.

  • Represent Lumera Healthcare at community events and stakeholder meetings.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with referral sources and community partners.
  • Advocate for access to quality care and recovery services.

  • Assist in budget planning and resource allocation.
  • Prepare reports on program performance and outcomes.
