You will be the Subsystem Design & Installation Engineer for the F‑35 Engineering Team which is responsible for delivering innovative subsystem solutions for the F‑35 aircraft. What You Will Be Doing As the Subsystem Design & Installation Engineer you will be responsible for leading the design, integration, and optimization of aircraft equipment installations, ensuring superior form, fit, and function across the platform. Your responsibilities will include: Design the installation of aircraft equipment for Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) and associated hardware; design aircraft tubes and harness assemblies for Fuel, Hydraulic, and Environmental Control Systems; design installation of aircraft fluid routing and associated bracketry. Conduct trade studies and evaluate alternatives – optimizing form, fit, and function of the equipment installations. Define, develop, and finalize equipment layouts, systems, and harness interfaces. Create Build‑to‑Packages for detailed parts, assemblies, and installations. Coordinate with other technical disciplines for optimized integration at the aircraft level (producibility, maintainability, tooling, interchangeability, materials & processes, stress, etc.).
