About The Position

As a Substitute Teacher, you'll step into the classroom when needed to lead engaging lessons, nurture curiosity, and provide children with a safe and supportive learning environment. Whether you're an experienced educator or just beginning your teaching journey, this role offers flexibility, purpose, and the chance to impact lives - every time you step in.

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (Bachelor's preferred).
  • At least 2 years of experience working with young children, preferably in a Head Start or preschool setting.
  • A caring and patient approach, with strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to teamwork, flexibility, and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote children's growth in all developmental areas.
  • Create a welcoming, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
  • Support children's learning and well-being in accordance with Head Start Performance Standards.
  • Build positive relationships with families and help strengthen community connections.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with program guidelines.
