Adelphi is seeking a Substitute School Psychologist to fill a full-time vacancy within a school district in Oakland County, Michigan. The ideal candidate will evaluate students, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and support students’ academic, social, and behavioral growth through on-site services. Requirements

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution
  • Completion of an approved School Psychology preparation program meeting Michigan certification requirements
  • Ability to work 100% in person; remote service providers will not be accepted
  • Residency within a 45-minute commute of the assigned school district
  • Experience in data collection, analysis, and interpretation to support educational decisions
  • Knowledge of positive behavior support (PBIS) and universal strategies for managing behavioral concerns
  • Strong understanding of Special Education Law under the Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education (MARSE)
  • Commitment to confidentiality, ethics, and professional standards

Responsibilities

  • Serve students across assigned schools within the district.
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational evaluations.
  • Administer, score, and interpret educational and psychological assessments.
  • Identify academic, behavioral, emotional, and social barriers to learning.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to determine special education eligibility.
  • Develop and recommend instructional modifications, accommodations, and interventions.
  • Use data-driven practices for intervention planning and progress monitoring.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret academic and behavioral data.
  • Consult and communicate effectively with school staff, families, and community partners.
  • Participate in school-based support services and crisis intervention efforts.
  • Coordinate referrals and collaborate with external agencies as needed.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation.
  • Adhere to ethical guidelines, confidentiality standards, and professional best practices.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
