Substitute Preschool Assistant
About The Position
Assists one or more teachers in the direct care and supervision of preschool-aged children in an education-oriented child care facility. Assists with play oriented learning activities. On an as needed basis. Must possess, or be eligible to obtain within 30 days from date of hire, and maintain a Child Development "Associate Teacher" (or higher) permit (12 units of college level training in early childhood education), and a pediatric first aid/CPR certificate and food handler's license. The Preschool's are located on the Campo Elementary School campus in Campo, CA and on the Potrero Elementary School Campus in Potrero, CA in the southeastern mountains of San Diego County, approximately 50 miles east of the city of San Diego. ANY OFFER OF EMPLOYMENT IS SUBJECT TO A CRIMINAL HISTORY CHECK ($71.00 payable by applicant), A PRE-PLACEMENT MEDICAL EXAMINATION, INCLUDING DRUG SCREENING (at District expense), AND A NEGATIVE TUBERCULOSIS TEST.
