About The Position
Substitute Opportunity with Marin Montessori School Join a thriving and fun workplace with room to grow. Being a substitute with Marin Montessori School allows you to work closely with our guides to support their classroom communities. We serve children in four age groupings, Toddler, Primary, Elementary, and Junior High. Position Overview: Substitute tasks include student observation and support, working in a support role in classrooms, and careful supervision of children during outdoor recess. We are looking for substitutes with Early Childhood Education (ECE) units to work with our youngest children - 18 months to 6 years old. We are also looking for substitutes for our Elementary and Junior High classes. ECE units are not necessary at these levels. You can elect to substitute in all age groups or only select groups. Hours: This is an on-call position, and dependent on the role, it can be anytime between 7:30 am and 3:30 pm. Additional School Care Program Hours are available from 10:45 am - 6:00 pm. Preferred Experience, Qualifications, and Attributes: Early Childhood Education (ECE) units (for candidates interested in working with our Toddler and Primary classes) Experience working with young children Interested in learning the Montessori approach A collaborative and flexible approach to working with colleagues Organized with attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills Must have a valid California driver's license with no points Must be able to lift and carry 40 pounds Salary: This is a non-exempt, part-time position.
