About The Position

Substitute Kitchen Workers plays a crucial role in supporting the daily food service operations within the school district. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior experience in food service, hospitality, or school nutrition programs is a plus.
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Knowledge of proper food safety and sanitation practices.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Flexibility to work on short notice in various school locations.
Background check and fingerprinting required per Ohio state regulations.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to school menu guidelines.
Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures at all times.
Set up and clean kitchen equipment, serving lines, and dining areas.
Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen tools to maintain a hygienic workspace.
Help receive, store, and organize food and supplies.
Monitor food portions and ensure proper meal distribution.
Follow all district and state food service policies and regulations.
Assist with cashiering duties if required.
Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and school personnel to ensure efficient operations.
Perform other duties as assigned by the cafeteria manager or school administrators.
