About The Position

The Substitute Job Coach provides per-dem support to a participant with limited work experience across the state of Connecticut. They assist the participant in developing skills through work experiences with the goal of enhancing the participant’s ability to succeed in competitive employment settings. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Provides on the job training support at various assigned locations across Connecticut, requiring regular travel throughout the state.Assists participants served in learning the job description and communicating at job site by utilizing natural support.Observes and documents workers’ behaviors and process in the vocational assessment and/or case notes.Observe workers' behaviors and progress, and documents this in the vocational notes and assessment report.Maintains and adheres to high standards of quality control for all work produced by program participants.Maintains quality standards designated by the employer and delivers good customer service. Submits comprehensive assessment report within three days of completion to the VP of Behavioral Health and Career Development with proper tracking sheet or original BESB attendance sheets.Submits other supporting documentation to the VP of Behavioral Health & Career Development for reports. Acts as liaison between employer and program participant.

Requirements

  • The ability to independently travel to and from assigned locations throughout the state of Connecticut — including areas that may not be accessible by public transportation — is required.
