About The Position

Are you a passionate dance instructor who loves working with children? Ensemble Schools is looking for an experienced substitute dance teacher to inspire and nurture the next generation of students at Production Company Dance Centre. Our growing studio in Longmont, CO focuses on providing quality instruction in a safe environment. We're seeking instructors who can deliver engaging, in-person lessons and contribute to the vibrant dance community. Our positive classrooms are staffed by amazing teachers who go beyond teaching dance technique to developing important life skills in students because Vantage Pointe Dance is about More Than Just Great Dancing!® Substitute teachers will be contacted when there is a deficit in a main teacher's schedule but consistency is appreciated by both students and school staff, and preference will be given to candidates with greater availability. Opportunities to build a position on our regular teaching staff are possible once a substitute has built a consistent relationship with the studio and its dancers. Preference will be given to candidates with the ability to teach multiple styles including ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical/contemporary, hip hop, and acro tumbling as well as open availability on weekday afternoon/evenings. Requirements

• Strong background in various styles of dance
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Exhibit traits of dependability, professionalism, punctuality, enthusiasm, friendliness, patience, and leadership.
• Reliable transportation and ability to pass a routine background check

Nice To Haves

• Energy, enthusiasm, and dedication to the art of teaching dance.
• Post-secondary dance training experience such as a certificate or degree in dance performance, education, or related fields (not mandatory but a plus).
• Preference will be given to candidates with the ability to teach multiple styles including ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical/contemporary, hip hop, and acro tumbling as well as open availability on weekday afternoon/evenings.

Responsibilities

• Instructing students in dance techniques across various skill levels, beginner through advanced (ages 4-15).
• Implementing lesson plans created by the regular instructor
