Dance Instructor
About The Position
Provo City's Covey Center for the Arts is seeking qualified Dance Instructors to join our Spring 2026 semester! The Covey Center provides a variety of classes for all ages. The mission of our program is to offer non-competitive, quality classes for the community at an affordable price. Our classes are a wonderful introduction to dance for children who may want to move on to a studio later or for families who are seeking an alternative to studios altogether. We believe it's never too late to start! Our adult classes welcome all skill levels, whether you are trying class for the first time or would like to get back into it.
Requirements
- Experience with teaching a dance class and choreographing dances.
- Applicants that teach other styles of dance are welcome to apply.
- Please let us know if you specialize in something we do not currently offer!
Responsibilities
- Create dance lesson plans that balance creativity and technique.
- Teach dance classes to a group of students ranging from 18 months to adult.
- Collaborate with the Dance Studio Coordinator to plan music selection, costumes, and performances
- Choreograph dances for performances.
