#11806-2 Substitute Custodian/Maintenance & Operations
About The Position
Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, cleans classrooms, offices, cafeterias, restrooms, locker rooms, and other facilities of an assigned school; perform grounds related work; perform minor repairs and maintenance, and assures security of school during assigned hours; may work on a maintenance crew. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Education: High school graduate or the equivalent. Proof must be submitted at time of employment. Experience: Sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities required of the position. WORKING HOURS: General Laborers work on call, as needed, as Substitute or temporary Custodians, Grounds Workers, Maintenance Workers, Locker Room Attendants, and other assignments as may occur, in a substitute or a temporary capacity, generally with short notice, at any of the schools or support sites, in Colton, Bloomington, Grand Terrace, and the Southridge sites in Fontana which are included in the Colton Joint Unified School District. The number of hours per day will vary with each assignment. There are no guaranteed number of hours, no guarantee of a permanent position and no benefits available for hourly employees. In addition, hourly employees are not considered regular or permanent employees of CJUSD.
