About The Position

The San Diego Unified School District is currently accepting applications for s ubstitute (hourly) office assignments . This opportunity is open to all interested candidates. BASIC FUNCTION: The District is seeking dependable and professional substitute staff to support general office duties for both schools and other district administrative areas. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Any combination of training, experience, and/or education equivalent to high school graduation. In addition but not limited to, Ability to work in a fast-paced school environment and have flexibility. Experience working in a school setting is a plus. Previous clerical or office support experience preferred. VACANCY / POSITION SPECIFICS: Working Location: Various Locations The District covers a large portion of San Diego County. These assignments are on an on-call basis and do not qualify you for regular salaried positions with our district . Substitute hourly assignments are not eligible for benefits and flexibility is a must. Examination Process The examination process includes an application screening and evaluation based on the applicant's education, work history, and responses to the application questions. Only applicants whose application packet demonstrates a combined education and experience which meets the minimum requirements for the position will be considered qualified and advance in the process. Some positions require applicants to pass additional components which may include one or more of the following: a multiple-choice, oral, written, or performance exam specific to the position.
