About The Position

RRC is seeking a talented Substation Steel Structural Designer to join our team and contribute to the future of U.S. energy production. This position is available at our Round Rock, TX, or Denver, CO offices in the U.S., or Toronto, ON, or Calgary, AB offices in Canada. A remote work option is also available. Requirements

Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Steel Detailer/Designer.
Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor (or similar) is required.
Experience with Vault.
Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).

Nice To Haves

Previous experience as a Checker is an asset.
Checker role using Autodesk Inventor: 1 year (preferred)
Other equivalent software experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

Review and interpret specifications, drawings, and project scope.
Independently create models, connections, and shop drawings while adhering to project schedules.
Ensure accuracy and timely completion of detailing tasks as per project requirements.
Develop detailed shop and erection drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
Manage assigned projects with minimal supervision.
Maintain high detailing accuracy and accountability.
