About The Position

We are actively seeking a compassionate and skilled Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Therapist to join our team full-time or part-time. This role is essential to our mission, providing therapy, crisis support, and service coordination for mental health clients in a variety of settings. As a Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Therapist with Carolina Outreach, you will provide group and individual substance use disorder counseling to individuals with a substance use disorder. Our comprehensive range of services include school-based therapy, outpatient treatment, psychiatric evaluations, community support, and substance use services. Position Description: Respond to client and/or stakeholder concerns or complaints as needed. Ensure all services provided are appropriately authorized. Create, develop, monitor, revise, and implement the client’s Person-Centered Plan. Provide clinical guidance and/or oversight in the development of crisis plans and transition plans when clients move in and out of services. Provide written documentation as required. This will include treatment notes, goals, and plans for the medical record (e.g., service notes, person-centered plan) Duties May Also Include DWI Services Complete DWI assessments Facilitate DWI group and individual treatment Complete 508s for DWI assessments and treatment completion Ensure that all fees are paid prior to 508 submission Other duties appropriate for a Substance use disorder Counselor, as assigned. Advocate for the client, family, and natural supports in the community. Requirements

  • Education: Master's degree in Pyschology, social work or counseling.
  • Licensure: Must hold a LCAS/A in NC.

  • Advocate for the client, family, and natural supports in the community.
