AMHC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Counselor in Presque Isle to provide assessment, counseling, and supportive services for individuals living with substance use disorders. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a direct impact on the lives of individuals and families while working within a strong, integrated care team that includes mental health, recovery, and community-based supports. What You’ll Do: Provide comprehensive substance use services, including assessments, individual, group, and family counseling, consultation, and community education. Offer integrated behavioral health support by addressing both mental health and substance use needs. Deliver Co-Occurring services to individuals with substance use and mental health diagnoses or developmental disabilities. Maintain active engagement with clients and referral sources to support individualized treatment goals. Support “No Wrong Door” philosophy by assisting clients and families with referrals and resource access. Help clients navigate AMHC’s full continuum of care, including MAT, Residential, Peer Recovery, and Court-related services. Provide transportation to clients when necessary through collaboration with local bus services. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with licensing and billing requirements. Participate in regular team meetings and interdisciplinary case reviews. What You Bring: Minimum of a CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor), LADC, or LCPC/LICSW with SUD experience preferred Knowledge and experience in working with individuals with substance use and co-occurring disorders Strong communication and clinical documentation skills Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Familiarity with community resources and an interest in engaging with local support systems Commitment to person-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally respectful care Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Why Join AMHC?
