About The Position

Youth Care, a residential treatment center for adolescents is hiring a Substance Use Disorder Counselor. For over 30 years, Youth Care has been a premier provider of life-changing services for adolescents who are struggling with a wide range of mental health issues including substance use. Our dynamic and supportive environment combines intensive, therapeutic interventions alongside premier academic instruction and creative programming. Youth Care students benefit from the guidance of caring professionals who know them not merely as students, but as unique individuals with specific strengths, weaknesses, hopes and fears. We are looking for a counselor who is passionate about recovery and personal growth with a track record of skilled and creative delivery of individual and group therapy; familiar with the challenges and complexities of mental health combined with addiction. We are looking for someone with competence in evidence-based treatment for adolescents and strong therapeutic, communication, and rapport-building skills.

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree
• Licensed in the State of Utah: SUDC, ASUDC, ACMHC, CMHC, CSW, LCSW
• Experience working with adolescents
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills
• Proactive and self-directed
• Customer service oriented
