Requirements
- Pass pre-employment drug screen
- Must be certified by the State of Washington Department of Health as a Substance Use Disorder Professional and or Trainee
- Must meet the requirements in RCW 18.205 and WAC 246-81
Responsibilities
- Conducting assessments of clients with substance use disorders.
- Conduct educational and process groups as assigned.
- Development of individualized treatment plans: monitor and update them.
- Develop individual counseling, family counseling as appropriate.
- Document client progress, keep records, produce reports, and discharge summaries using Sunwave EMR
- Assist with crisis intervention, relapse prevention and motivational enhancement techniques
- Educate clients and families about substance use disorders, treatment options, and community supports
