Substance Abuse Recovery Specialist _ Criminal Justice Case Manager
About The Position
RIDGEVIEW Behavioral Health Services, a not-for-profit community mental health center, has an immediate opening for a Full Time Bachelor's Level position. This position will be split with 20 hours/week as a Substance Use Recovery Specialist in Harriman, TN, and 20 hours/week as a Criminal Justice Case Manager in our Oak Ridge, TN, location. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in social services (psychology, sociology, social work, etc)
- good organization and time management skills
- documented safe driving record
- the ability to work independently while interacting within a multidisciplinary team environment
- Two years of professional experience working with the chemically addicted and/or criminal justice system preferred.
- Strong computer and documentation skills required.
- Requires F endorsement on TN driver's license.
Responsibilities
- The Recovery Specialist will be responsible for wrap-around service facilitation to program members on an outpatient basis
- securing a full array of Alcohol and Drug/Co-occurring services
- promoting and maintaining positive community referral practices with drug courts and supervised probation staff
- providing A/D group work facilitation
- The Recovery Specialist will be responsible for meeting educational requirements in Relapse Prevention/Early Recovery Skills and State and Federal entitlement enrichment.
- The Criminal Justice Case Manager will be responsible for the delivery of services at all levels of the criminal justice process from pre-arrest to probation.
- Services include early identification, assessment of mental health status, review of psychiatric and addiction treatment records, development and implementation of treatment plans.
- Documentation for all services must meet agency and jail standards.
