The Substance Abuse Counselor is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the TEAP Program, which includes staff development and substance abuse counseling for students. This role operates according to Job Corps Federal Regulations and the Policy and Requirements Handbook (PRH). The TEAP Program is coordinated by a licensed substance abuse professional who oversees the program and ensures quality of care. The program's primary focus is on prevention, education, identification of substance abuse problems, relapse prevention, and assisting students in overcoming barriers to employability.
