About The Position

This position provides administrative and clinical support to assigned Alcohol & Chemical Dependency Program (ACDP) locations in the Western District. Job duties include but are not limited to the following: training and staff development for ACDP staff as directed by the Western District Manager, and in collaboration with the Clinical Supervisor and Assistant Director of Substance Use Disorders Services. Administrative duties include coordinating recruitment interview teams for the district; conducting internal audits and DHHS pre-audit reviews to ensure compliance of required standards; inventory/management of clinical resources, including curriculum and screening material; response to offender requests for treatment placement by researching eligibility; and representing District West at ACDP meetings, program staffing meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, professional conferences, or other departmental functions, as directed by management. Clinical Supervision duties include special projects for hiring and developing a mobile treatment team for the region; developing formal lesson plans and presenting current clinical information to professional staff across ACDP as required to ensure fidelity and standardization, with a focus on maintaining an Evidence Based Practice design. Other duties may include interpreting data and writing reports to support ACDP Western District resource management; facilitating quality assurance processes; implementing process improvement initiatives; collaboration with internal/external stakeholders on section and departmental priorities; staff supervision and provision of direct service delivery during staff shortages/instability; and any other specific tasks related to administration and clinical programming as directed by the ACDP Western District Manager. The execution of required duties may involve extensive daytime travel to other program locations and the ability to complete tasks independently. Assignments may include overnight travel status. This position is assigned to an office in the Western region.

Requirements

  • Licensed as a Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS) or as a Clinical Supervisor Intern (CSI) to practice under the provisions of the NC Addictions Specialist Professional Practice Board.

  • Knowledge of an auditing process and/or of quality assurance of a related program.
