About The Position

Substance Abuse Coordinator – KVC Nebraska Location: Lincoln, NE] | Full-Time | Hybrid -3 days in Office Are you passionate about helping children and families overcome challenges? What You’ll Do: Conduct Substance Abuse Evaluations in-home or in community settings. Provide Intensive Outpatient (IOP) treatment services, including weekly group sessions and individual therapy. Accept referrals, complete intakes, write reports, maintain records, and track outcomes. Promote KVC Nebraska as a trusted provider through community outreach and education. Consult with KVC staff to strengthen understanding of substance use disorders and improve services to children and families.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license & auto insurance
  • Provisional Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC)
  • Certification in Comprehensive Adolescent Severity Inventory and Addiction Severity Index
  • 3+ years in Substance Abuse Assessments/Treatment and ASAM Criteria application
  • 2+ years in Child Welfare and/or Juvenile Justice

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field
  • Fully Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor
  • Experience with home/community-based services and marginalized populations
  • Skilled at building rapport, asking insightful questions, and making objective recommendations
