Responsibilities A Day in the Life of a Subrogation Analyst As a Subrogation Analyst for Liberty Military Housing, you are responsible for overall collection and recovery efforts with third-party renters’ insurance, auto, and general liability claims across the Liberty Military Housing enterprise. You will be working closely with site leaders, insurance carriers, and our internal accounting department.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of Insurance experience in claims, subrogation or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills to review coverage and aggregate total costs.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Communication skills to negotiate and interact with carriers and internal stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of insurance in basic renters’ insurance and commercial policies, also the relevant laws and regulations regarding subrogation collection.
  • Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely and successfully with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Must be able to sit at a desk for extended periods.
  • Ability to travel to other regional locations for work, training, meetings and other work-related activities.
  • The position requires mobility within the office; use of a computer and other office machinery such as a scanner and copy machine.
  • Must be able to deal with a fast-paced, constantly changing work environment, including handling multiple tasks daily.
  • May require use of personal or company vehicle.
  • Ability to independently lift/carry supplies or equipment up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Review basic insurance policies as they relate to third-party legal liability and damages.
  • Investigate third party liability claims.
  • Review incident reports relating to property damage .
  • Negotiate settlements working with insurance carriers.
  • Communicate with insurance c ompanies on claim packets and negotiate recovery.
  • The ability to understand basic accounting principles and work in excel to track invoices and costs for submission of demand packages to third party carriers.
  • C ompile total expenses via Excel spreadsheets.
  • Collaboration with internal team such as revenue accounting, legal, site team managers, maintenance and outside vendors when needed.
  • Communicate with accounting revenue department and site leaders on the status of collection efforts.
  • Navigate incident management software to access claims.
  • Document collection efforts: upload and organize expenses from property management software into claim packets for subrogation.
  • A bility to organize a calendar to track claims and create a diary system for follow up.
  • Assist Risk Management w ith special tasks and projects to include risk management ad hoc reports relating to claims and recovery.
